ANTONIO MARTINEZ

A graveside service for Antonio Gil Martinez, 76, of Caldwell, was held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Mr. Martinez died on Jan. 7, 2021, at his residence in Caldwell.

Antonio Martinez was born on June 13, 1944, in Houston to Juan Martinez and Mary (Guajardo) Martinez.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Christine Martinez; his brother, Martin Martinez; and his sister, Matilda Martinez.

Antonio is survived by his wife of 40 years, Bobbie Martinez; his sons, Gilbert Martinez and wife, Mayda, and John H. Walker and wife, Pearl; his brother, Emilo Camposano; his grandchildren, Matthew Martinez, Miranda Martinez, Cody Walker, and Lisa, and husband, Adam Mangum; his great-grandchildren, Avery and Logan Mangum.

Antonio had a strong Christian faith and was a Sunday school teacher at Snook Assembly of God.

He was a great storyteller, avid reader, loved gardening and maintaining his flowers and lawn.

He loved his daughter Christine dearly and was her main caregiver until her death.
