A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Dec. 5, 2025, at Burleson County Cowboy Church, 300 CR 169, Caldwell, Texas 77836.
Al dedicated 37 years to McDonnell Aircraft, where he took great pride in his work and the many friendships he formed throughout his career.
A devoted father, stepfather, and grandfather, he centered his life around his family and the joy they brought him. His steady presence, generous heart, and quiet strength were felt by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Rae Jean Oberts and Neva Oberts; his stepson, Mark Feldman; his granddaughter, Connie Feldman; his grandson, Jeffery Oberts; and his daughter-in-law, Pamela Oberts.
Elbert “Al” Lawrence Oberts, 92, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on November 20, 2025.
He was born on May 23, 1933, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Elbert L. Oberts and Annabelle He is survived by his sons, Daniel L. Oberts, Phillip W. Oberts, Aaron L. Oberts, and James A. Oberts; and his stepsons, Stanley Feldman and Steven Feldman. Al also leaves behind a large and loving group of grandchildren, Carrie, Chrissy, Debra, Jonathan, Andy, David, Sarah, Laura, Michael, Kasey, Savana, Phillip, Justin, Matthew, Jayda, Caiden, Channing, Drake, and Landen.
Al will be remembered with deep love and gratitude for the life he lived, the kindness he shared, and the legacy of family he leaves behind.
