James Dean “Jimmy” Parker Jr. was born in Caldwell on Feb. 12, 1979.

Jimmy was a Caldwell High School graduate, class of 1997, and a proud Hornet supporter.

He met the love of his life, Jennifer Marie Lopez, and married her on Aug. 11, 2001.

To this union they added Carson and Jaycee. Jimmy loved being a father and husband and devoted his life to his family.

He attended all his children’s activities, sporting events and went hunting with his son, Carson.

Jimmy enjoyed watching football, grilling on the back deck, being outside, cleaning up around the yard and garage, and just spending time with his kids.

He was the best kind of momma’s boy who loved his mother, Karen Taylor, and he would do anything for her, family members said.

Jimmy was the best big brother and was always protective of his siblings Stacy, Harlan, and Josephine, they said.

He was an incredibly hard worker and dedicated 20 years of service to Halliburton, during that time he made many friendships.

Jimmy was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, David Taylor; his grandparents, Lester and Doris Wadlington, and Hubert and Patsy Parker; and his very best friend, Paul ‘Pablo’ Gibson.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Parker; his children, Carson and Jaycee Parker; his mother, Karen Taylor; his father, James Dean Parker Sr., his brother, Harlan Parker and wife, Jessica; his sisters, Stacy McDonald and husband, Kelly, and Josephine Parker; his father and mother-inlaw, Lucio Lopez Jr. and Cynthia Lopez; his sisters-in-law, Rebecca Lopez, Lori Calhoun and husband, Donnie; his brothers-in law, Jonathan Lopez, Jeffery Lopez and wife, Kimberly, all of Caldwell; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
