Mr. Harper died peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Jimmy Lee Harper was born on Oct. 28, 1941, to Fred and Milady (Janicek) Harper.

Growing up, Jimmy was the middle son of three boys to Fred and Milady.

He and his two brothers, Fred and Billy, were quite the rowdy bunch. They played in the gullies, loved playing with slingshots, and loved to fish and hunt.

Jimmy went to Texas State Technical College in Waco where he received a degree in Civil Engineering.

He was a family man, an avid hunter, bowler and he loved to workout.

Jimmy loved the simple pleasures in life: hanging out with family, enjoying a baseball game, buying lottery tickets and watching his grandchildren’s activities.

He was headstrong, a hard worker. He fought hard for what he believed in, and he loved even harder, family members said.

You could always count on Jimmy having a Dr. Pepper and his chewing tobacco with him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred J. Harper and Milady Harper; and his brother, Fred Harper.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Josephine (Jimenez) Harper; his daughters, Jessica Harper, and Jennifer Burrow and husband, Johnathan; his brother, Billy Harper and wife, Peggy; and his grandchildren, Bryce Burrow, Peyton Travis, Kennedy Burrow, and Hudson Burrow.
