A celebration of life for Lucy Vasquez Ureste, 79, was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at First Pentecostal Church in Brenham.
She was born on Dec. 13, 1945, in Somerville, to Theodosia Martinez and Lorenzo Vasquez Sr.
She was one of eight children.
A woman of deep faith in the Pentecostal church, she enjoyed singing for Jesus.
Lucy enjoyed spending time with her family and her church family.
She died on Saturday Oct. 18, 2025.
She is survived by her husband, Raul Montañez Uresti; two sons; two daughters; three brothers; four grandchildren; and her beloved chihuahua.
