NANCY FAUST

A private family viewing for Nancy Faust, 85, of Somerville, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville.

A private family burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Faust died on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021.

Nancy, affectionately known as “Maw Kettle,” was born on Dec. 15, 1935, to Charles and Loda Murski.

She met the love of her life, Ed Faust, and became his wife on Feb. 14, 1953.

She had numerous jobs, including working for the Chamber of Commerce.

Nancy was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Lyons.

She was a hard-working mother, and, when her last child left the nest, she enjoyed going out dancing with her husband.

Nancy learned how to play the piano and paint nature pictures and also enjoyed doing crafts.

She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by many, family members said

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles James Murski and Loda Irene (Archer) Murski; her stepfather, Hollie Monk; her husband, Ed L. Faust; her sister, Janie Mae Wilson; and her daughter-in-law, Linda Faust.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Moorefield and husband, Fred, and Nancy Lee Goates and husband, Rusty; her sons, Ronnie Faust and wife, Norma, Donnie Faust, David Faust, and Edward Faust and wife, Tonya; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews; and special friend, Jackie Wilson.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.
