The Caldwell Hornets (2-3) used an open date last week to fine tune their game in preparation for the district opener this Friday at Giddings. Caldwell won 20-8 at Lexington on Sept. 27 and is looking for some momentum to start district play. Giddings (1-4) also had a bye week and is coming off a 46-32 loss to Navarro on Sept. 27.
