The Somerville Yeguas struggled with a slow start in the first half but rallied with 4 secondhalf TDs last Friday at Bartlett, falling just short in a 48-42 loss.
The loss proved costly for Somerville, who fell to 2-6 overall and 2-3 in district play, possibly needing wins over Snook this week and Burton on Nov. 6 to make the playoffs.
Bartlett improved to 5-3 overall and 2-3 in district.
