Family owned since 1912, Wilder farm attracts hundreds
Memorial Day weekend, fields of yellow began to attract the attention of passersby.
Local farmer Jay Wilder and his family decided to undertake a new crop they’ve never grown before.
“Our family farm started in 1912 by my greatgrandfather,” Wilder said. “We primarily have grown cotton and diversified into grain sorghum and this year is the first time we planted some sunflowers.”
