Dr. James Barton was given a 1-year contract extension to continue to lead Caldwell ISD for the next three years.
On Monday, after a closed session, the Caldwell School Board gave Dr. Barton a positive evaluation and the contract extension beginning July 1.
However, Dr. Barton’s salary will be determined during the board’s budget discussions.
