A porch was damaged by fire on Monday morning, Jan. 6, at Elm and Carhall drives at Cade Lake Subdivision, but firefighters were able to quickly extinguish it and prevent damage to the home.
The accidental fire at the John Chisum house was likely caused by a lamp on the porch that fell over onto a blanket there, said Caldwell Fire Chief David Pevehouse.
