A report of smoke on Sunday morning, Jan. 19, in Room 209 at Caldwell High School was caused by a fan motor in the central air system that shorted out, said Caldwell Fire Chief David Pevehouse.
Caldwell firefighters and school district personnel responded quickly and shut down the central air system, and there were no flames or damage in the room or elsewhere in the building, Pevehouse said.
