MELYNDA GIESENSCHLAG addresses the gathering on Saturday at the historical marker dedication at the church.
The faithful parishioners of St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church on F.M. 2000 celebrated the dedication of their Texas Historical Marker on Saturday.
It was a day to celebrate church members still worshipping there and their predecessors, who started their ministry about 140 years ago.
The ceremony was organized by the Burleson County Historical Commission.
