Local veteran aims to ‘flag’ Burleson County history

    Just a few hundred feet away from the busy traffic of State Highway 36 lies a hidden gem of Burleson County history -- the Chriesman Memorial Cemetery.

    President and caretaker Ronny Harrison is working to make the history it preserves a little less hidden with one commendable goal: to place a 40-foot flagpole along Highway 36 to signify the cemetery’s presence.
