Firefighters are battling a stubborn streak of burn ban violations in recent weeks, about 18 calls in the last month.
For volunteer firefighters, it is a nuisance.
Forced to respond to any call, they usually find someone claiming they know nothing of the burn ban, and they have to stay until the fire is extinguished.
Law officers are also dispatched to the scene to issue tickets.
