Seat belts only work if you wear them

It doesn’t matter who you are. It doesn’t matter what you do. Everyone needs to buckle up. The Texas Department of Transportation (Tx-DOT) is working with law enforcement to remind Texas drivers to wear their seat belt every ride, every time.

Burleson County Sheriff Gene Hermes died on Saturday, May 31, after a long battle with cancer, and Burleson County Commissioners will select a replacement.

Caldwell begins electric provider talks

The Caldwell City Council is beginning it search for a wholesale electric provider as part of its conversion to the ERCOT electric power grid and to prepare for a new electric power substation.

Recent rains help crops, pastures around the county

Rainfall in the past month brought some welcome relief to Burleson County’s farmers and ranchers with row crops developing well and pasture and pond conditions steadily improving.
