Caldwell school board announces Vape-Free Schools Initiative

The Caldwell ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) announced it will partner with the American Lung Association to begin a Vape-Free Schools Initiative at Caldwell schools during the 2025-26 school year.The council made that announcement at the Caldwell School Board meeting on Monday, May 19.

3-vehicle wreck occurs at F.M. 60, SH 36 intersection

A major accident involving an SUV, a pickup and an 18-wheel truck-tractor rig occurred late Wednesday, May 14, at the F.M. 60 and State Highway 36 intersection.However, no one was injured or transported to any area hospitals, according to a DPS report.The accident occurred at 7:02 p.m.

County Democrats hold ice cream social

The Burleson County Democrats sponsored an ice cream social on Sunday, May 18, at the Davidson Creek Park.The gathering took to sharing two kinds of homemade ice cream (lemon and Big Red), Blue Bell ice cream and banana splits. Ice cream cups and lollipops were also shared with park visitors.
