Caldwell Mens’ Lions Club holds successful raffle

Caldwell Men’s Lions Club recently held its annual raffle fundraiser, with the drawing Jan. 20.The Lions’ raffle helps the Caldwell Men’s Club raise money to fund student scholarships, eyeglasses and community projects.In addition to the raffle, the club holds an annual golf tournament.

Just over one year ago, the New Tabor Brethren Church community was horrified by a Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024, fire that destroyed the historic church building.

Somerville church plans evening service

The First United Methodist Church of Somerville will begin a Wednesday night gathering and service starting March 5 at 6 p.m. at the church’s Family Life Center.A light meal will be served for anyone attending with some Bible discussion, prayer and visiting after the meal.

Somerville Council approves design request for new city hall

The Somerville City Council approved a Request For Qualifications (RFQs) for design build services for the new city hall at the Tuesday, Feb. 11, meeting.In addition, the council is now considering remodeling the existing senior center rather than including it in the new city hall as a costsaver.
