It’s time for Texans to brace for cedar fever season once again.Cedar fever is an allergic reaction to the pollen released by mountain cedar trees, and unfortunately, you don’t have to be allergic to the pollen for it to affect you.

The Caldwell Rotary Club is preparing to host its annual Casino Night Fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Caldwell Civic Center.Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with tables opening at 7 p.m.

Snook approves hotel occupancy tax ordinance

The Snook City Council has approved an occupancy tax for hotels for up to 7% of the price paid for a hotel or motel room.However, the tax will not include bed and breakfasts or shortterm rental properties.The city council unanimously approved that ordinance on a 4-0 vote at their Monday, Dec.
