Yeguas win 46-12 over Ben Bolt for area title

The Somerville Yeguas made big plays on defense in the first half, converting a Keith Crawford fumble recovery and an interception into touchdowns, and then took control offensively with its running game in a 46-12 win over Ben Bolt in the area playoff last Friday in Palacios.

Man charged in felony assault

A Caldwell man was arrested on Nov. 19 on a felony assault charge with a prior conviction in connection with an attack on a woman on F.M. 908.

Shotgun, rifle stolen on CR 230

Burleson County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the burglary of a travel trailer last week on County Road 230 in which a shotgun and a rifle were stolen.The owner placed the guns near the front door of the trailer on the night of Thursday, Nov.

Man arrested in drug possession

A Somerville area man was arrested on Saturday, Nov. 23, by a DPS trooper on a felony drug possession charge during a traffic stop in Somerville.
