Man arrested after threatening area firefighter

A 44-year-old Cade Lake man was arrested on Friday, Nov. 15, on a Class A misdemeanor charge of terroristic threat against a public servant after threatening a volunteer firefighter who responded to his burn ban violation.

Copper wire stolen at oil well pad site

Two dogs dead, believed poisoned

Someone poisoned a woman’s two dogs on Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the 500 block of Elm Lane in Deer Forrest Subdivision off F.M. 1361.Burleson County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the case as a second degree felony cruelty to animals case, said Burleson County Chief Deputy Bill Rios.
