Multiple arrests made in drug cases

A narcotics investigation in Lee and Burleson counties last week resulted in multiple arrests involving numerous law enforcement agencies serving warrants.Seven persons were arrested after serving search warrants in four locations, spanning from Monday, March 16, to Wednesday, March 18.

Chamber open house set for Thursday

The Burleson County Chamber of Commerce will host an open house at its new location at 207 W. Mustang Street in Caldwell on Thursday, March 19, from 5-7 p.m.Ribbon cutting will take place at 6 p.m., with door prizes and refreshments before and after.

County sales tax shows increase in March

Sales tax revenues showed an increase for March 2026 from March 2025 for Burleson County in Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock’s latest monthly report.And, the City of Caldwell was the only entity to show a decrease for March, with Snook and Somerville each showing a slight decline.
