Woman charged in escape case

A Somerville area woman jailed in Burleson County and taken to a Caldwell hospital for medical treatment briefly escaped and was recaptured.

Sexual assault case investigated

Burleson County sheriff’s deputies are investigating an aggravated sexual assault case occurring over the weekend on County Road 328.A woman reported that she escaped from a man who had harmed her for three days, Burleson County Chief Deputy Bill Rios said.
