POSGCD board approves $1.7 million in grants

The Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District Board has approved $1,714,668 in grants to area water providers in Burleson and Milam counties.Those grants were approved at the board’s Tuesday, May 14, meeting.

About $100,000 raised for New Tabor Church

The generosity was overwhelming -- and will be put to good use.A Saturday fundraiser hosted by the SPJST Lodge for the New Tabor Brethren Church raised about $100,000 in total donations to help rebuild the church after a devastating January fire.The event was held at the Burleson County Expo Center.
