A 34-year-old Caldwell man was arrested by Caldwell police on Monday, Aug. 18, on a felony drug charge following a traffic stop on State Highway 21 West.

Traffic lights operational at F.M. 50,60 intersection

A new four-way traffic signal at the F.M. 60 and F.M. 50 intersection was activated on Thursday, Aug. 21, alleviating recent concerns about traffic safety there.The new signal is a full red, yellow, green, fourway intersection aimed at improving safety and traffic flow, said Bob Colwell of TxDOT.

Record honey bee losses prompt AgriLife Extension webinar

Texas beekeepers lost 61% of their honey bee colonies -- nearly 60,000 hives over the past year, according to the most recent statewide survey of more than 400 beekeepers.This was one of the steepest declines in beehives ever recorded in Texas, said Garett Slater, Ph.D.
