Monument unveiled, helipad dedicated at Deanville VFD

THE MONUMENT calls Smith a “beloved friend who served the Deanville Volunteer Fire Department with passion and dedication for over 37 years. His desire was to see this helipad constructed to safely serve the citizens of Deanville, Texas and the surrounding area.”
A monument recognizing the efforts of the late R.J. Smith, the Deanville Volunteer Fire Department’s president for 37 years, was unveiled on Saturday, May 11, and the helipad he helped champion was formally dedicated and blessed.
