With saturated ground, last Thursday’s storm delivered some flooding with high winds across Burleson County -- even resulting in hundreds of area residents losing electric power.
However, Burleson County dodged a bullet, seeing as the Houston area had an EF-1 tornado touch down, causing multiple fatalities as well as power outages for more than 920,000 homes and businesses.
