Texas’ top education chief visited Somerville ISD last Thursday, interested in finding out more about the district’s strategic plan.
The five-year plan has been the key to Somerville’s improvement academically, and the Texas Education Agency (TEA) has recognized the work by SISD -- which resulted in the TEA’s Commissioner of Education Mike Morath’s visit to Somerville Elementary School.
