A fire damaged a house on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 19, on F.M. 975, about three miles from Caldwell, but area firefighters were able to respond quickly, contain the blaze and save most of the home.
However, the living room and attic area and along the chimney suffered fire damage, and there was smoke damage throughout the inside, said Caldwell Fire Chief David Pevehouse.
