A celebration of life for Jeffery Arthur Bankes, 64, of Chriesman community of Caldwell, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, at the Strickland Funeral Home Caldwell Chapel.
Jeff was born May 10, 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri, to John Bankes and Stella (Pilsner) Bankes.
Jeff was a machinist by trade for 17 years for Mic B.
He married the love of his life, Tarina (Layne) Bankes, on Dec. 31, 1990. This union was blessed with nearly 35 years and two children, Ryan and Heather.
Jeff loved fishing, hunting, farming, cooking and gardening. He enjoyed using his tractor.
He was well liked by his coworkers.
He was a good father. He loved his dogs. His favorite series was Star Trek.
He had a YouTube channel named “Go Outside,” teaching about farming, animals and edible plants.
He died on August 22, 2025.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Tarina Bankes; one son; one daughter; two brothers.
