Graveside services for Rodney Gene Oppermann, 69, of Dime Box, were held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Ledbetter Cemetery with Rev. Terry Bage officiating.
Rodney Gene Oppermann was born October 26, 1955, to Billie Oppermann and Betty Joyce (Schultz) Oppermann in Cameron.
Mr. Oppermann enjoyed the ranch life so much he turned it into a career by raising and breeding Brahmas. He loved riding the countryside, dancing and spending time with family as well as friends.
Rodney passed away the evening of Friday, May 23, 2025, in Bryan.
He is preceded in death by his father, Billie Oppermann; mother, Betty Wood; his stepfather, Douglas Wood; and stepson, Colby Walthers.
Rodney is survived by his two brothers, Clinton and wife, Marjorie Oppermann, of Dime Box, and Marty and wife, Janice Wood, of Dime Box; nephews, Garrett and wife, Kayla Oppermann, and William Taylor Wood; niece, Morgan and husband, Author Easterling; great-nephews, Holden Oppermann, Hayden Oppermann, Hadley Oppermann; great-niece, Holt Oppermann; stepsons, Sabian and wife, Stacy Walther, and Kasey and wife, Tiffany Walther; stepdaughter, Shanna and husband, Whitney Keilberg; as well as special friends, Joun Tumlinson and Penney Lehmann.
Memorials may be made to St. John Cemetery in Dime Box or the charity of ones choice.
