A funeral service for Sue Carol Wadzeck, 80, of Caldwell, was held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, in the chapel at the Burleson County Cowboy Church.

She and her husband were members of the Burleson County Saddle Club.
Sue was also a member of a bowling league.
Sue was known as a wonderful cook, and everyone was welcome at her table.
She also enjoyed playing cards and was always ready for a trip to the casino.
She died on Monday, Dec. 23, 2024.
She is survived by two children; four grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.

Sue was born on July 26, 1944, in Stamford, to Al Wadzeck and Hazel Reeves Wadzeck.
Sue attended school in Stamford, then moved to Caldwell.
She married Louis Smith on March 16, 1964.
Sue worked for several years at Kellar Chair Plant, and in the 70s, Sue ran the office for the pipe yard/oilfield business they started, but her main job was always caring for her home, her children and her beloved husband.
Sue loved to garden, cook and spend time with family.
She was also an avid fisherman.
