Eldie Peters was born on August 21, 1936, in Tunis, Texas. As a young boy, he and his family moved to Caldwell, Texas, where he was raised on a farm. His chores included: gardening, working in the cotton fields, and raising many farm animals.

Billy Lynn Kornegay, 74, of Caldwell, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 30, 2021. A public visitation was held on Monday, January 3, 2022, beginning at 4:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell, Texas.

Thelma Fay Ferguson Darling

Thelma Fay Ferguson Darling, 72, of Milano, was born on October 25, 1949, to Henry Alton Ferguson Sr. and Jo Ella Ferguson. Thelma was born and raised in Houston, Texas, but always said you couldn’t pay her enough to move back. She resided in Milano for approximately the last 35 years.

Lois Gibson, 78, passed away on December 19, 2021, in Houston, Texas, following complications from surgery. Her memorial was held Monday, December 27, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Somerville, Texas, at 2 p.m. Visitation preceded the service at 12:00 p.m.

Services for Mrs. Mable Munson Davis, 86, of Lyons, will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Lyons, Texas 77863. She was born on Dec. 28, 1934. Mrs. Davis died on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021.

David Davis - loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather - went home to be with the Lord on December 9, 2021. Dave was a car guy and successful business owner in Corpus Christi, Texas, then moved to Somerville to be a fulltime caregiver to his parents.
