Snook’s Miracle Hill won first place in the girls 242+-pound division at the Anderson-Shiro Girls Meet 2.Hill had a total lift 750 pounds to earn her the gold medal.Hill lifted 325 pounds in the squat, 145 pounds in the bench press and 280 pounds in the dead lift.

Lady Jays end season with 41-36 Iola loss

The Lady Jays baskeball season ended at home last Tuesday with a 41-36 loss to Iola.The Lady Bulldogs took an early two-point lead to end the first quarter 11-9.Iola then outscored Snook 8-5 in the second to go into halftime leading 19-5.
