The Lady Yeguas lost two games last week. On Tuesday, Somerville fell to Brazos Christian 61-21. Then on Friday, the Lady Yeguas lost to North Zulch 38-21. Somerville will host Aggieland HomeSchool this Friday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m.

The Somerville Yeguas surged to an 8-2 record after five big wins at the Caldwell Kolache Capital Invitational Tournament last weekend, finishing second after falling to Aggieland Home School in the championship game. It was a big week for Somerville, who started on Tuesday, Nov.

Hornets win four, finish third at Kolache Tourney

The Caldwell Hornets won four of five games at their Kolache Capital Invitational Tournament last weekend, finishing third. The Hornets, 7-4 for the season, defeated Brazos 48-39, Milano 55-45, Waller JV 5548, and College Station JV 58-44 before losing to Somerville 70-53 in their final game.

Hughes to compete in NFR

Caldwell’s Westyn Hughes has punched his ticket to his third National Finals Rodeo (NFR) after finishing the regular season at Number 6 in Tie-down Roping in the PRCA World Standings with a total earnings of $136,447. The NFR will be Dec. 7-16 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
