Yeguas run at Moulton

The Running Yeguas competed at the 2023 Moulton Cross Country Meet last Saturday. Gavin Williams finished 55th in the Varsity Boys 1A-2A race with a time of 27:47.89. Taylor Warrick of Stockdale won the race with a time of 16:29.07.

CHS JV vball beats Somerville, falls to Smithville

Last Tuesday, the Caldwell JV volleyball team traveled to Somerville, beating the Lady Yeguas in straight sets 25-14, 25-9.

All four Caldwell Junior High volleyball teams added wins to their win columns last week against Smithville. The eighth-grade A team easily defeated the Lady Tigers 25-10, 25-8. Coach Giese said, “The win was a huge team effort.

Snook battles illness in 39-6 Brazos Christian loss

The Snook Bluejays battled illness all week with multiple players missing in their 39-6 road loss last Friday at Brazos Christian School in Bryan. And they had some playing sick. It was a miserable week and a long night for the Bluejays, who fell to 0-2.

Hornets struggle in 28-0 home loss to Robinson

The Caldwell Hornets took a step back last Friday in a 28-0 home loss to Robinson, struggling with consistency on both sides of the ball. Caldwell surrendered three first half touchdowns and another in the fourth, while being held offensively to just 23 rushing yards and 97 total yards.

Caldwell team tennis falls in a heartbreaker to Cameron Yoe 9-10

The Caldwell tennis team hosted Cameron Yoe in a district match last Thursday. The teams were evenly matched, so it came down to the final match to determine the winner. And, the Yoemen edged the Hornets 9-10.

Lady Yeguas beat Dime Box in 4 sets

On Friday, the Lady Yeguas traveled to Dime Box, beating the Lady Horns in four sets 25-19, 25-23, 19-25, 2519.

Yeguas rally in the third, fall 48-22 at Brentwood

The Somerville Yeguas rallied from a big deficit last Friday against Brentwood Christian School in Austin, getting within five points early in the third quarter, before surrendering two fourth quarter scores for a 48-22 loss.
