Burleson County Crushers crush it in NCS softball tourney

The Burleson County Crushers, an 8U tournament softball team in the area, won the title in the 8U Open division at last weekend’s NCS (National Championship Sports) Central Texas Tournament of Champions 6 GG. The tournament was played at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock on July 8-9.

Snook volleyball, basketball camp set for July 10-11

The Snook ISD coaching staff will be holding a joint volleyball and basketball camp for girls going into the second through ninth grades on July 10-11. The campers will learn and work on volleyball skills from 10 a.m. until noon and basketball from 12:30-2:30 p.m.

Hornet Football camp kicks off July 19

New Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Sean Witherwax and his coaching staff will be hosting the annual Hornet Football Camp on July 19-20 for future Hornets. Session 1 will be for third through six-graders from 8-9:30 a.m.

Lady Jays softball camp scheduled for July 18-19

Hughes places 2nd at Pecos Rodeo

Caldwell’s Westyn Hughes competed in the West of the Pecos Rodeo in Pecos over June 2124, placing second in the overall Tie-Roping standings. In the first round, Hughes roped his calf in 10.1 seconds, placing third and earning $1,972. Cole Clemons won the round with a time of 9.

Bluejay football camp set for July 24-25
