The Caldwell Hornets lost district games last week to Bellville 92-58 on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at home and to Navasota 97-41 on Friday, Jan. 30, in Navasota.Against Bellville, the Brahmas took control early with a 32-5 first quarter lead and led 52-20 at halftime.

Senior soccer player Adeline Hicks had a tremendous game last Tuesday, scoring four goals and leading the Lady Hornets to their first district win of the season -- a 5-1 home victory over Cameron Yoe.And, the Lady Hornets were able to celebrate their victory by ringing the bell after the game.

The game was originally scheduled for Saturday morning, however, due to forecasted freezing temperatures on Saturday, the game was moved to Friday night -- still cold however -- proving that it is never too cold for Lady Hornet softball!
