Bluejays to hold boys basketball camp

The Bluejay baseball coaching staff will host a basketball camp for boys going into the second through ninthgrade on June 5-6 from noon until 2 p.m. The cost is $25 for the camp. However, if you attend the baseball, boys basketball and football camps, the registration cost for all three is $60.

Snook had one baseball player make first team All-District 26-2A and one player named to the second team, and Somerville had two players named to the second team. Snook’s sophomore Caden Schluens was named to the first team infield, and sophomore Jacob Castaneda named to the second team infield.

Caldwell’s Westyn Hughes has been doing well lately in this Tie-Down Roping competitions -- winning titles at his last two rodeos: Glennville Round-Up Rodeo in Glennville, California, and Rowell Ranch Rodeo in Hayward, California.

Last Friday, Caldwell High School’s Camden Goodin and Luke Freeman competed at the Texas High School Bass Association’s (THSBA) State Fishing Tournament at Lake Sam Rayburn with the Caldwell duo placing 169th out of 207 teams across the state.

The Bluejay baseball coaching staff will host its baseball camp for incoming second through ninth-graders on May 30-31 from 5-7 p.m. A free t-shirt will be provided for those who have registered prior to May 22. The cost is $25 for the camp.
