ATHLETES of the WEEKYegua FootballAgainst Milano, Holton helped the Yeguas to a win from both sides of the ball.On offense, Holton had a 26-yard TD reception.On defense, he had a 43-yard interception return for a TD. He also had a fumble recovery and 10 tackles -- 3 solo and 7 assisted.

Hornets fall 72-12 against tough Sealy

It was a long night for the Caldwell Hornets, facing an outstanding Sealy team with multiple offensive weapons and no answers on how to stop them.Sealy rolled 72-12 last Friday in Caldwell in one of the Hornets’ worst ever losses as the Tigers improved to 8-1 overall and 3-1 in district play.

The Somerville Yeguas faced a mustwin situation last Friday against Milano to secure a playoff bid, and they got the job done in a dominating 49-6 win over Milano.

Caldwell vball season ends with Sealy bi-district loss

After going 20-26 for the entire season and 6-4 in District 22-4A, the Lady Hornets season is over with their bidistrict loss to Sealy last Thursday in Brenham.Caldwell competed in Division II of the UIL Class 4A Volleyball Playoffs.
