Snook falls in two district games against Burton

The Snook Bluejays lost their two-game district series with Burton last week by scores of 19-2 on March 25 at home and 15-0 in a Friday road game. Snook fell to 0-10 overall and 0-6 in district play.In game one, Snook scored 2 runs in the bottom of the first inning to cut the Panthers’ lead to 3-2.

Despite out-hitting Milano f ive to one and ace pitcher Aubrey Becker throwing a one-hitter, the Lady Jays fell to the Lady Eagles 14-3 last Tuesday, March 25 at home.Braynija Pool, Kalyn Cooper, Marissa Batiste, Kaylie Holden and Becker each had a hit for Snook.

Lauderdale places at Swamp Relays

Snook’s Jade Lauderdale placed sixth in the girls 100-meter hurdles at last week’s Swamp Relays at Altair Rice.Lauderdale ran the race in a time of 17.82 seconds.Aubrey Vacek of East Bernard won this event with a time of 16.57.

The Lady Yeguas lost their last two district games.Last Tuesday, March 25, Somerville was edged out by Iola 7-6.The Lady Yeguas were down 7-0 going into the top of the sixth, where they scored four runs to make it a game again.

Caldwell’s Bynn Morton drove in six runs to lead the Lady Hornets past Navasota 15-2 at home last Tuesday night, March 25.She hit a homer to center field in the botton of the fourth inning to score three.Jaelyn Gest also hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the fourth.
