Snook falls at Richards in double header games

The Snook Bluejays lost a double header to Richards 13-3 and 2614 on Tuesday, March 11, in Richards.The losses dropped Snook to 0-6.In game one, Snook trailed 7-1 after two innings before scoring a run in the top of the third to cut the lead to 7-2.

Lady Jays blank Wallis-Brazos 17-0

Snook’s Aubrey Becker was one walk away from a perfect game on Thursday to lead Snook past Wallis-Brazos 17-0.The ace went four innings, keeping the Lady Cougar offense hitless --facing 13 batters, striking out nine and walking one.

Somerville falls 14-4 to RTC in 2nd game

The Somerville Yeguas fell to Round Top-Carmine 14-4 on Tuesday, March 11, in Somerville in the second game of their series.The Yeguas also lost to RTC 14-9 on Monday, March 10, in RTC.Somerville trailed 3-0 in the first inning before adding a run in the bottom of the second to cut the lead to 3-1.

Lady Yeguas fall to the Mumford Mustangs

The Somerville bats had a difficult time connecting with the ball in a 15-0 loss to Mumford last Monday, March 10.The Lady Mustangs jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the first inning after Kelsie Rangel doubled, scoring two runs.

Lady Hornets fall to Bellville in district opener 7-1

After a scoreless first inning, Bellville got on the board first in the top of the second, scoring three runs, on the way to a Lady Hornet 7-1 home loss to open district last Tuesday night.

Lady Yeguas beat Lady Jays in rivalry game Number 1

Somerville’s Audrey Schoenberg was a perfect 3-for-3 on the day to lead the Lady Yeguas past rival Snook 12-6.Schoenberg had three singles, scored three runs and had two RBIs during last Tuesday’s game.

The Snook Bluejays lost to Wildcat Baseball 25-1 in two innings on Thursday, March 6, in at the Weimar Tournament.Snook also lost to Hempstead 7-0 and Weimar 10-0 at the tournament.

Hornet tennis team takes on Aggieland tournament

The Hornet tennis team competed in the March Aggieland tournament on Thursday, March 6, hosted by A&M Consolidated High School.Billy Cochran and Parker White finished second in the Boys Doubles C draw, defeating Javier Yanez and Caleb Heslip of Bryan 7-6, 7-5 in the first round.
