Yen qualifies for THSPA state powerlifting meet

Snook’s Tristen Yen has been ranked as one of the top lifters in the Texas High School Powerlifting Association (THSPA) Region 4 Division 4 132-pound weight class all season.

While Hornets won the team title at the Lexington Golf Tournament held Feb. 24-25 at Copperas Hollow Country Club in Caldwell, Schluens won the individual boys title with a score of 76.

While Lady Hornets won the team title at the Lexington Golf Tournament held Feb. 2425 at Copperas Hollow Country Club in Caldwell, Ussery won the individual girls title with a score of 86.

Lady Jays go 2-2 at Schulenburg Tourney

The Lady Jays were 2-2 last week at the Schulenburg Tournament.Snook started strong with a 13-1 win over Rice Consolidated.Kaylie Holden was a perfect 2-for-2 from the plate with two runs scored and two RBIS.Marissa Batiste had a triple in the game.

Snook loses three at Brazos Christian Tourney

The Snook Bluejays lost to Rockdale, Mansfield Home School and Brazos Christian last weekend at the Brazos Christian Tournament in Bryan.Snook, 0-5, fell to Rockdale 18-1, to Mansfield 16-0 and to Brazos Christian 10-0.

Hornet track season begins at Robinson

The Caldwell track teams began their season last week at the Robinson Relays.The varsity boys team finished seventh with 22 points.Salado won the team title with 178 points. Little River Academy was second with 118, and Robinson was third with 109.

Chapman, Zboril, Vogler win at College Station Varsity Tennis

The Hornet tennis team competed in the College Station High School Varsity Tennis Tournament on Friday, Feb. 14, hosted by College Station High School.Dylan Chapman won the boys singles B draw, defeating Andrew Tran of McNeil High 6-2, 6-3 for the win.
