Hornets score 4 TDs, fight Troy to a scrimmage tie

The Caldwell Hornets battled Troy to a 4-4 tie in their final scrimmage last Friday in Caldwell, showing significant offensive improvement.In fact Caldwell could have prevailed 6-4 but did not finish two drives.Troy scored twice on the Hornets’ second group in the scrimmage portion.

Snook starting over with new head coach, system

The Snook Bluejays are looking for a new beginning in 2024 with a new head coach and a new offensive and defensive system.

Yeguas look to surprise in Roberts’ third year

The Somerville Yeguas just might be the surprise team in District 13-2A this season -- a team loaded with experienced talent and promising newcomers.Texas Football magazine has the Yeguas picked third behind district favorites Granger and Burton, both solid playoff teams a year ago.

Lady Jays defeat Dime Box Vball

Last week, the Snook Lady Jays opened their season, beating Dime Box on Friday after losing to Milano on Tuesday.Snook took four sets to beat Dime Box on the road 25-17, 28-26, 25-18, 25-19.At home Tuesday, the Lady Jays fell in straight sets 20-25, 6-25, 27-29.

Bremond outscores Snook 2-0 in first scrimmage

The Snook Bluejays scrimmaged state ranked Bremond last Friday at home, falling 2-0 (with touchdowns counting as one point) in their first appearance under new Head Coach Nolan Lanham.Lanham said the Bluejays held their own against an excellent team, and the score was a little misleading.
