The Caldwell Hornets, building a huge early lead, defeated Booker T. Washington 31-4 in the bi-district playoff game last Thursday, May 2, to advance to the area round.

Lady Jays lose to Thorndale in area

Thorndale’s pitcher held Snook to only three hits and allowed no runs in a 10-0 five-inning run-rule loss for the Lady Jays in the area round last Thursday night in Caldwell.Aubrey Becker led the Lady Jays in batting going 2-for-2 at the plate, including a double.

Caldwell, Snook athletes named Academic All-State

Both Snook and Caldwell had athletes named to the Texas High School Coaches Association’s (THSCA) 2024 Academic All-State Teams -- including Snook’s J. Beaux Hruska being named to three academic teams: baseball, golf and boys track.

Snook Lady Jays fly past Centerville for playoff win

Marissa Batiste was 3-for-3 at the plate including two triples to lead the Lady Jays past Centerville 16-5 in their bi-district playoff game last Thursday in Caldwell.Batiste also walked twice, scored three times and had two RBIs.

Caldwell HS boys win district tennis title

The Caldwell boys won the team title at last week’s District 22-4A Tennis Tournament at Caldwell.The boys had a total score of 11 points, with Manor New Tech in second with eight points. Taylor finished third in the team standings with 3.5 points.
