Burleson County’s livestock producers are selling cattle in large numbers in recent weeks, including 2,122 head sold at the Wednesday, July 20, sale at Caldwell Livestock Commission. The long drought is taking its toll on pastures and water levels in tanks, and high input costs for feed, fuel and fertilizer are only compounding the problem.
