Burleson County Judge Keith Schroeder told the county commissioners on Monday, July 27, that decreased property values, largely driven by lower mineral values, could lead to a tax rate increase.
“I got an email on Thursday morning, I believe it was, that our tax roll appraisal values are, especially mineral values, down substantially,” he said.
