Local voting centers called big success

Burleson County wants to proceed with new system in future elections

Burleson County wants to stick with voting centers, allowing voters to cast ballots at any location in the county regardless of where they live.

The county used the system for the first time in the Tuesday, Nov. 7, constitutional amendments election and got higher than usual voter turnout numbers.

They hope to continue, assuming they get approval from the Texas Secretary of State’s Office.
