The First United Methodist Church of Somerville will welcome its new pastor Melissa Garza this Sunday, July 5.Pastor Melissa comes to Somerville from First United Methodist Church, Nacogdoches, where she served as Associate Pastor of Family Life.

Fire damages trailer home

A fire, possibly caused by an electrical issue, damaged a Cade Lake family’s singlewide mobile home on Friday night on Oak Trail.Family members were not home at the time, but four of their dogs, including some puppies, died -- likely from smoke inhalation, said Cade Lake Fire Chief David Pevehouse.
