Man charged in drug possession

A Texas Parks & Wildlife game warden arrested a 26-year-old Somerville area man on Sunday, June 21, in a traffic stop on Thornberry Drive in Somerville on a felony drug charge.

Woman arrested on forgery warrants

A 44-year-old Lakeway woman was arrested on Wednesday, June 17, on six felony check forgery warrants from 2020 totaling $6,225.Christina Angela Smith was charged and is now free on $7,500 bond, according to the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office.

A College Station woman was arrested on Tuesday, June 16, by a DPS trooper during a traffic stop on State Highway 21 on felony and misdemeanor drug charges.

County sales tax shows increase in June 2026

Sales tax revenues showed an increase for June 2026 from June 2025 for Burleson County in Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock’s latest monthly report.And, all cities within the county also showed increases.The report was based on sales made in April by businesses that report tax monthly.
